The 9th edition of one of Africa’s biggest reality shows, Big Brother Africa, has come and gone. The show which came to an end on Sunday, December 7, 2014, had Tanzania’s Idris as the winner of the grand prize.

    • Tanzania’s Idris won the Big Brother Hotshots season 9

    • Idris is the 2nd Tanzanian to win the show, this is after Richard won in the Big Brother Africa season 2 in 2007.

    • 26 Housemates went into the house for the show.

    • Ik Osakioduwa has hosted Big Brother Africa for six times.

    • The Big Brother Hotshots ran for 63 days.

    • The Big Brother Hotshots had eight Head of House; four girls and four boys.

    • The Hotshots marks the first time Rwanda participated in the Big Brother show.

    • $300 000 is the grand cash prize.

    • The Hotshots had  more than 673K followers on Twitter platform and more than 1.8M likes on Facebook.

  • The Hotshots had more twist and pranks than the past seasons.
